Friday (8-22-08) we had our 20 week ultrasound and it went perfectly, of course. Soon we will welcome
Karch Burns Steichen to our family! The little booger was kickin’, flippin’, and squirming all over the place. Our visit was at 1pm and I have noticed his most active time during the day is between 11-2pm, so it was to be expected. We don’t mind when he won’t be still during our ultrasounds because this means we get to stare at him longer. He has the longest legs that were shooting out like a frog leaping. Jason thinks he will have my nose because we got a close look when the technician was checking to make sure he didn’t have a cleft lip. All went well and Karch looks great. Dr. Garner told us I have a low placenta (not a big deal) he said it should move down with time. However, this means we may get to see him more because Dr. Garner has to monitor the placenta in order to decide if I will end up needing a c-section. OH, I almost forgot Jason’s favorite part of the visit. While we were admiring our little miracle and the technician was taking measurements Karch decided to grab his penis (nice). We (Jason, me, mom, and the tech) were all laughing. The tech was shocked because she had never seen a baby do this during a sono. Of course, my child is the first. Things to come…
Our next visit will be September 19th.
