Two Month Well Visit=SHOTS!!!!!

Mr. K did so good at his two month well visit. He took his two shots with ONE two-second cry. He is 24 inches and 13.5lbs. His height, lbs, and head are all caught up now- all 90%tile. Here are some photos of Karch taken today 2-18-09. He loves his elephant. You can see him looking at it thinking, ‘you sure do look funny’ and ‘I want to put you in my mouth’. A few smiles and coos were had also.

K's first Play Date

Karch had his first play date with a fellow baby yesterday 2-17-09. We went over to Lisa’s and spent time with beautiful Isabelle. Here are a few pictures…

LOVING Being a Mommy at All Hours

Who knew waking up at 4-4:30AM would be so rewarding. I tried to capture how amazing the feeling is. Jason wakes up with Karch for his first feeding at 12-12:30AM and I get the second feeding. As I am woken up by grunts and stirring, I crawl out of bed to pick the little guy up to attend to his needs. His eyes are still squinting while we walk into his nursery. I place him down on his changing table and remove his diaper as he is still trying to wake. By the end of the diaper changing my little man is wide awake and ready to chow down. BUT in between the changing table and his bottle he looks at me and melts my heart- this is why I love waking up with him.

The Tooter is 7 weeks old today!

Wow, Jason and I cannot believe how fast these weeks have flown by- Make it stop! Karch is becoming a little person more each day. He started smiling recently. We only catch a few smiles a day, but when we do they melt our heart.

Over the past few weeks we came to realize Karch has acid reflux, so we have him on Prevacid, adjusted his bed to a 30 degree angle, and we are putting Gripe Water in his bottles! After tons of research and talking to other mom’s this all seems to be controlling it. Due to him being uncomfortable from the acid reflux, his sleep schedule was thrown off. After talking to Jamie, I used her suggestions and now he only wakes up two times a night (thanks Jamie!)! So, Jason gets up with him the first feeding, and I get the second feeding.

This smirk melts my heart!

Being adorable in his fabulous outfit his Aunt Pat bought him. This is also his favorite floor time spot (thanks Bryan and Jamie!).

Just being precious 02/04/09 Beautiful baby blue’s – those eyes will be dangerous Karch flashing his grin

Our Little Blessing is One Month Old Today!

I cannot believe how much Karch has grown and changed over the one month he has been in our lives. A few things that come to mind…he has grown out of newborn diapers, starting to stay awake and alert more during the day, developing a semi schedule, focuses on objects/us (we enjoy our staring contest), holds toys/fingers, and no longer needs to be swaddled at nigh. What a big boy!

Our Benjamin Button Yes, my son's waist is at his chest. He will grow into his pants soon enough. What is Daddy doing to me???? Yes, Daddy is a little crazy. A quick family photo before heading to dinner. Grandma Steichen, Aunt Lys, and Aunt Stacia watched the Tooter while we had a nice dinner together.

Coming up on one month!

Days and nights are getting so much better. Everyone is getting to know each other and all three of us are adjusting well. Karch is such a joy and I cannot believe he will be a month old this Saturday, crazy how time is flying by.

A recent funny moment… This past Saturday (1-10-09) Karch was awake for a long period of time while Jason and I were getting ready for company. He was entertaining himself on his mat, but we thought he would have a better time in his swing. SO…Jason put Karch in his swing. After a few moments he started to shriek. Jason rushed over and got him out of his swing and noticed a poopy surprise. Poor thing pooped out of his diaper onto the swing. I told Jason just to throw him into the bath with me. When I was finished rinsing Karch off Jason came to get him out of the tub, so I could finish my bath time before our company arrived. While Jason was walking around the house with Karch wrapped up in a towel, he started questioning an odd feeling down the side of his shirt and shorts. Karch decided he needed to tinkle and his naked booty tinkled all down the side of Jason. It was defiantly an eventful 30min.

Here are some more recent photos of the pooper!
