My first Shower Invitation!

Friday, I received my adorable invitation to my baby shower. Karch’s first party! I had to take a picture of the invitation. This photo doesn’t show the coloring very well, but you get the idea. Imagine chocolate brown and blues. -Thanks Megs and Hol! Love you ladies.

I am sure I will regret starting my belly pics in this outfit. Oh well, I get a good laugh out of it each time we take pictures. (if you go to Aug 8th post I have all the belly pics side by side)Enjoy…

24wk follow up...

Yesterday we had our 24 week check up (6months!) and as always everything went well. I have gained 12 pounds, YIKES! I guess it could be worse… I am trying to be good again. This week I did not hit up Chick-fil-A (a pregnancy favorite of mine) on the way to work for breakfast once, very proud of my pregnant self! However, some day’s I cannot pass up a chicken biscuit or the sweet chicken nuggets. Sad. Karch’s heartbeat is beating strong. Hearing the heartbeat is still the most amazing thing in the world. I feel him moving often, but to hear the life from him sends tingles through me. Dr. G started measuring my tummy to make sure he is growing. Next visit will be our last four week appointment! From there on out we will be seeing Dr. G every two weeks- getting close. Hard to belive I could have him in 13 weeks and Karch would be healthy. This is exciting and sad at the same time, because I see how fast times flies and this makes me realize how quickly my little man will grow. Also, I get tested for gestational diabetes at our next visit too. This week we set up our first family photo session! Karch’s newborn pictures will be January 29th, 2009 with Kate. Kate will be taking newborn, 6month, and year old photos. I am excited to be using Kate to capture our memories, she is a good friend of Holly’s (one of my best friends), and her work is amazing- the personalities of each client shines through her work. http://www.juxtaposephotography.com/ http://www.juxtaposephotography.com/blog/ Another biggie for the week, we ordered Karch’s dresser to match his crib. My dad is building the changing station for the top of it. The room is fully complete-crib, dresser, changing table, and bedding!

Sigh of relief

Today, Jason got a new job with Goldman Sachs. We are both extremely excited about this new opportunity for him to grow with a company as his previous job was looking like a dead end. Also, with this new job comes new hours. Jason will no longer be required to work 50-60 hours per week and no more 2am-1pm workdays (like most corporate Americans he will be pulling the 8am-5pm workday)! Yippee! Baby and I are doing well, just getting over a server cold. Last night I couldn’t take it any longer I snuck a dose of Nyquil and put us to sleep through the night (much needed because I didn’t sleep for two days due to the sniffles). When I woke up I felt like a new women! I will post a new belly photo soon too. :)

It's All Coming Together...

As most of you know, Jason and I decided to stay in an apartment for at least another year. Moving into a house is too much to add to our plate while planning for the new addition to our family. One step at a time is our new motto. Anyhow, after six hours of apartment shopping Saturday (9-6-08) we finally agreed on our new home. We will be living in Allen close to family and closer to most friends. Sigh, that headache is over! Our move out date is November 02, but we (or should I say Jason and my dad) will start moving October 30th. Over the weekend Grandpa and Grandpa (Jason’s parent’s) purchased the crib and it should arrive in 6-8weeks right in time for moving! Also, Great Granny (my grandmother) gave us our baby shower gift too, the bedding (photo included below)! The bedding should arrive around 4 weeks from now. We will have the nursery set up soon after we move in. I am so excited.

This is bedding, but I changed it up some. I am only using three fabric swatches- Retro Rockets, Loli Dot, and the Cha Cha Stripe. The sheet will be solid, not Diamond.

As for our lil man, he is getting stronger. While watching a movie Saturday night Jason had his hand on my belly and could feel Karch poppin’ all over the place. Fun! Sometimes when he won't move, I talk Jason into yelling at my belly, "WAKE UP". Most of the time it works.

Also, Megan, Holly and Co-Host My Mommie are planning my shower on October 19th. I know they have been working hard coming up with ideas, and won’t share much with me. I am eager to see all the hard work they have put into it. I cannot say enough about my friends and family, all of the support and excitement mean so much to Jason and I both. We would be lost without such great people in our lives.

Labor Day Weekend

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. Jason and I went to visit family in OKC. As always, we had a good time lounging around with the parentals. Also, Katie and Dustin were in town for a wedding so we were able to spend time with them as well. While visiting we picked out the baby crib (gift from grandpa and grandma-Jason's parent's) that was exciting. My mommie and daddy will probably help us out with the dresser and changing table top. Thank goodness for loving grandparent's/great grandparent's and family-we are very fortunate we have so much support . I hope to have the nursery set up no later then mid-end of November, which shouldn’t take too long because we don’t plan to paint. The final crib, no more changing! As for me and baby, we are doing great. Creeping up on my third trimester, I can tell I am slowly loosing my energy, again. This is a bit frustrating, but I am trying to deal and relax when needed. Baby is growing and I can feel him moving more, but now I find myself freaking out when I don’t feel him squirming around. I try to wake him or make him move by poking my belly (his home). Sometimes I think about phoning Dr. Garner a few times a day to tell him my baby isn't moving. Once I feel him moving around I am able to relax again.
